Article 1 — Purpose of the Service

Captain Transcribe is an online service for automatic transcription of audio and video files into text, powered by artificial intelligence. The service converts spoken content into plain text (TXT) or subtitles (SRT) in over 29 languages.

Article 2 — Registration and User Account

Access to the service requires creating a user account via an email address or Google sign-in. The user agrees to provide accurate information and to maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials.

A free trial without registration is available, limited to a single file with a maximum duration of one minute.

Article 3 — Plans and Pricing

The service offers the following plans:

• •Free — 10 minutes of free transcription per month
• •Starter— €5/month, 120 minutes of transcription
• •Creator— €15/month, 600 minutes of transcription
• •Pro— €30/month, 2,400 minutes of transcription

All prices are listed in euros and include applicable taxes. Captain Transcribe reserves the right to modify its pricing at any time. Changes will only apply to new subscriptions or subsequent renewals.

Article 4 — User Rights and Obligations

The user agrees to use the service in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms of Use. The following actions are strictly prohibited:

• •Using the service to transcribe unlawful, defamatory, or rights-infringing content
• •Attempting to circumvent the technical limitations of the service
• •Reselling or redistributing access to the service without authorization

Article 5 — Intellectual Property

The user retains full intellectual property rights over uploaded files and generated transcriptions. Captain Transcribe does not claim any rights over user content.

The interface, source code, logo, and text content of the Captain Transcribe website are protected by intellectual property law and remain the exclusive property of Captain Transcribe.

Article 6 — File Confidentiality

Files uploaded by the user are processed confidentially. They are automatically deleted from our servers after transcription. No file is stored permanently, and no content is shared with third parties outside the transcription process.

Article 7 — Limitation of Liability

Captain Transcribe strives to provide a high-quality service but does not guarantee the perfect accuracy of AI-generated transcriptions. The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind.

Captain Transcribe shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service, including data loss.

Article 8 — Amendments to the Terms

Captain Transcribe reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Users will be notified of changes by email or through a notification on the website. Continued use of the service after modification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Article 9 — Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution before taking legal action. Failing that, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
