Is there a free plan?
Yes, Captain Transcribe offers a free plan with 10 minutes of transcription per month. No credit card required.
What audio and video formats are supported?
Supported formats are MP3, WAV, OGG, OPUS, FLAC, M4A, AAC, MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV and WEBM. The maximum upload size is 95 MB (5 MB for the guest trial).
How accurate is the transcription?
Accuracy varies with the recording quality, language, accents and overlapping speakers. You can review every result in the editor and add custom words for names or technical terms.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel anytime from your settings. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period, then switch to the free plan.
What subtitle formats can I export?
You can export in SRT, VTT, and plain text formats. Three segmentation styles are available: Standard, Short, and Word-by-word. Preview the result in the destination workflow.
Is my data secure?
Files and transcripts are protected by authenticated access and follow the retention period of your plan: 30 days on Free, 90 days on Starter and Creator, and until you delete them on Pro. We do not sell personal data; the processors needed to run the service are listed in the Privacy Policy.
